Whisk your matcha the traditional way with this essential duo — a 100-prong bamboo chasen and a glass holder that helps keep its shape. The bamboo whisk helps create a frothy texture and microbubbles in your matcha, while the holder keeps it dry, clean, and ready for your next ritual.

How to Use 

Before first use - Soak the whisk in a cup of warm but not boiling water for around 10-15 minutes to clean and prep the whisk for its first use. This will help prevent breakage and damage.

Before each use - Soak the whisk in hot not boiling water for 1-2 minutes. This will soften the prongs, help prevent breakage, and make whisking easier and more effective.

How to Care

Rinse the whisk with warm water (without soap!) immediately. If there is still any matcha residue, gently whisk it in warm water. Pat it dry and place it on the holder to maintain its natural shape. Let it air dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

Do not put in the dishwasher.

For the best whisking experience, it's recommended to replace your whisk every 3-6 months, depending on how often it's been used.

Clear Usucha

  • Sift 2-3g (1.5-2 tsp) of matcha into a bowl
  • Add 60ml of hot water (60-80°C)
  • Whisk in wave motion (M or W) for 20 seconds until frothy
  • Add 6 - 8g (1-1.5 tsp) of agave syrup (optional)
  • Enjoy straight from the bowl or over ice!

Classic Latte

  • Sift 4-5g (3 tsp) of matcha into a bowl
  • Add 50ml of hot water (60-80°C) — use less for a stronger taste
  • Whisk in wave motion (M or W) for 20 seconds
  • Add 6-8g (1-1.5 tsp) of agave syrup and whisk a few more seconds
  • Prepare 100 ml of milk - warm or cold with ice.
  • Pour matcha over milk, and enjoy!
