- 4 g ceremonial matcha
- 50 ml hot water (60–80°C, not boiling)
- 100 ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
- Sweetener of choice (optional)
How to Make
Hot Matcha Latte
- Sift the matcha: Add matcha into a bowl through a fine sieve to prevent clumps.
- Whisk: Add 50 ml hot water (60–80°C, not boiling) and whisk in an M or W motion until smooth and frothy.
- Heat the milk: Warm 100 ml milk until hot but not boiling. Froth if desired.
- Combine: Pour the milk into the matcha, sweeten if desired, and stir gently.
Iced Matcha Latte
- Sift the matcha: Add matcha into a bowl through a fine sieve to prevent clumps.
- Whisk: Add 50 ml hot water and whisk until smooth and frothy.
- Build the drink: Fill a glass with ice and pour in 100 ml cold milk.
